dc.description.abstract-translatedThe paper on „Sanctions Policy of the Czech Republic in the Multilateral Context“ aims to analyse and evaluate the development of the Czech sanctions policy after 1989. Following our international commitments, the government of the Czech Republic has amended the existing legislation so that we could fulfil our obligations towards the EU (and consequently the UN) and effectively sanction persons included on the EU and the UN sanctions lists. Key laws and developmental stages of the Czech Republic‘s sanctions policy are thus presented, with an emphasis on their interconnection in the multilateral context of the past years. The paper thus focuses on key international political events of recent years concerning the Czech Republic‘s foreign policy orientation, from the Czech Republic‘s accession to the EU to the Russian aggression in Ukraine. The author is a PhD student at the Department of Constitutional Law, Faculty of Law, Charles University.en
