dc.description.abstractPráce představuje současnou politickou praxi Botswany na pozadí konceptu minimální demokracie, jejímž autorem je Josef Alois Schumpeter. Botswana je mnoha akademiky považována za africký zázrak, protože se jí od získání nezávislosti podařilo zachovat demokratické principy. Nicméně někteří autoři poukazují na výrazné nedostatky v demokratičnosti botswanského politického uspořádání. Cílem této práce je aplikace znaků minimální demokracie na současnou botswanskou politickou praxi a odpovědět na otázku, zda lze Botswanu označit za příklad minimální demokracie podle J. A. Schumpetera.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe Bachelor Thesis presents the current political functioning of Botswana on the basis of a concept of minimal democracy, designed by Joseph Alois Schumpeter. Botswana is considered by many academics as an African miracle, because since independence Botswana managed to preserve democratic principles. However, some authors point out significant weaknesses of the level of democracy in political functioning of Botswana. The aim of this thesis is the application of aspects of the minimal democracy on the contemporary political situation in Botswana and answer the question, if Botswana can be considered as an example of the minimal democracy according to J. A. Schumpeter.en
