dc.description.abstractArabské povstání započalo v červnu roku 1916, kdy Arabové pod vedením šarífa Husajna spojili síly s Brity, a povstali proti osmanské nadvládě s cílem zajistit si nezávislost a vytvořit jednotný arabský stát. Součástí této revolty se stal i britský plukovník T. E. Lawrence, jenž s formou guerillové války pomáhal Arabům nad Turky zvítězit. Tato práce se zabývá především vojenskými aspekty arabského povstání a zároveň nastiňuje, jak se do této vzpoury slavný Lawrence z Arábie zapojil.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe Arab revolt began in June 1916, when the Arabs, under the leadership of Sharif Hussein, joined their forces with the British, and rose up against the Ottoman domination with the aim of securing independence and creating a single unified Arab state. Part of this revolt became a British colonel T. E. Lawrence, who helped the Arabs to win over the Turks with the form of a guerrilla warfare. This thesis is focused on the military aspects of the Arab uprising and also outlines how important role played the famous Lawrence of Arabia during the revolt.en
