dc.description.abstract-translatedIn the article, the author deals with the position of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic (hereinafter referred to as the “Constitutional Court”) in the control of the legislative process implemented by the National Council of the Slovak Republic (hereinafter referred to as the “National Council”). It focuses on a specific legislative instrument which is a shortened legislative process. He is looking for an answer to the question whether the Constitutional Court should take a more active approach to examining the fulfilment of the conditions for shortened legislative procedure and in the event of their non-fulfilment state the unconstitutionality of the law that was adopted in such a process. The aim of the article is primarily to formulate the most appropriate approach for the Constitutional Court. The formulation of this approach aims to serve as a basis for the future application practice of the Constitutional Court
