dc.description.abstractTato práce se zaměřila na problematiku mocenského soupeření, konkrétně na hegemoniální soupeření Brazílie a Mexika. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, zda se dá o některém z uvedených států mluvit jako o hegemonu Latinské Ameriky. Daný cíl byl dosažen prostřednictvím čtyř kritérií: 1) vnímání své vůdčí role a uznání této role ze strany ostatních; 2) projekce hodnot a zájmů do regionu; 3) poskytování veřejných statků státům regionu a 4) nadřazenost materiálních kapacit.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis thesis focused on the topic of struggle for power, namely on hegemonial rivalry between Brazil and Mexico. Its goal was to find out if any of the aforementioned states can be seen as a hegemon of Latin America. This goal was reach through aplication of four criterions: 1) self-perception as a leader and acceptance of that perception by others; 2) infusion of values and interests within the region; 3) provision of public goods to other state of the region and 4) supremacy of material capabilities.en
