dc.description.abstractTato diplomová práce se zabývá vysoce aktuálním tématem Evropského parlamentu a voleb do Evropského parlamentu v roce 2024. Zaměřuje se na komplexní právní charakteristiku jediného, občany členských států přímo voleného orgánu Evropské unie a analýzu celého volebního systému, u něhož se zaměřuje taktéž na samotnou Českou republiku. Součástí práce je rovněž oblast soudního přezkumu voleb a návrhy de lege ferenda na případná řešení některých možných legislativních nedostatků a právních mezer. Zjištěné teoretické závěry jsou dále demonstrativně verifikovány na reálném případu roku 2024 a proběhlých volbách do Evropského parlamentu.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis thesis examines the highly relevant topic of the European Parliament and the 2024 elections to the European Parliament. It focuses on a comprehensive legal characterization of the only directly elected body of the European Union by the citizens of its member states, as well as an in-depth analysis of the entire electoral system, with particular focus on its application in the Czech Republic as well. The thesis also examines the judicial review of elections and presents de lege ferenda proposals for potential solutions to certain legislative shortcomings and legal gaps. The theoretical conclusions are further demonstratively verified through a real case study of the 2024 European Parliament elections.en
