Přehledné dějiny Spolku přátel vědy a literatury české v Plzni (1878-1950)

Abstract

Tato studie se zaměřuje na Společnost přátel české vědy a Literatura v Plzni, která byla kulturní a vzdělávací organizací činnou v Plzni v poslední čtvrtině 19. století a první polovině 20. století. Cílem autorů je poskytnout jasný popis základních faktů, historický vývoj a organizační struktura tohoto sdružení. Tohle je první komplexní studie na toto téma, která zároveň přináší nové, dříve nepublikované poznatky. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována jasnému chronologickému popisu historie společnosti i zajímavosti související s její činností. Studie také zmiňuje významné osobnosti, které přispěly k činnosti společnosti, a jejich konkrétní přínosy.

This study focuses on the Society of Friends of Czech Science and Literature in Pilsen, which was a cultural and educational organization active in Pilsen during the last quarter of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. The authors aim to provide a clear description of the basic facts, historical development, and organizational structure of this association. This is the first comprehensive study on the topic that also presents new, previously unpublished findings. Special attention is given to a clear chronological account of the society’s history, as well as interesting aspects related to its activities. The study also mentions significant individuals who contributed to the society’s work and their specific contributions. Finally, the impact of the Society of Friends of Czech Science and Literature on the cultural history of Pilsen and its surroundings is summarized.
