dc.description.abstractTrvalým dokladem zločinného charakteru komunistických režimů se stala železná opona, která měla neprodyšně uzavřít země sovětského bloku a zabránit svým občanům "hlasovat nohama" a uprchnout tak na západ. Železná opona poznamenala stovky kilometrů krajiny a její stopy jsou zřetelně patrné v terénu dodnes. Cílem diplomové práce je studium reliktů tzv. ženijně-technického zabezpečení státní hranice na Chebsku (konkrétně lokalita Mohelno), včetně pozůstatků základny jednotky Pohraniční stráže. Kromě studia archivních dokumentů, fotografií a výpovědi pamětníků se práce soustředí zejm. na nedestruktivní výzkum terénních reliktů zajištění hranice v době studené války, jako jsou pozůstatky drátěné bariéry, relikty nástražných zařízení a pozorovatelen. Výzkum zaniklé základny nabízí možnosti studia každodennosti vojáků studené války během dlouhé služby na hranici. Samostatnou problematiku představují objekty lehkého opevnění budované v 50. letech, které zahrnují jak betonové pevnůstky, tak i dřevozemní objekty.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedPermanent evidence of the criminal nature of the Communist regimes has become the Iron Curtain, which was to seal the Soviet bloc's lands and prevent its citizens from "voting their feet" and escaping to the west. The Iron Curtain marked hundreds of kilometers of landscape and its traces are clearly visible in the field to this day. The aim of the diploma thesis is to study the relics of the so-called engineering-technical security of the state border in Cheb (namely the Mohelno troops), including the remains of the border guard unit base. In addition to studying archival documents, photos and testimonies, the thesis focuses mainly on the non-destructive research of terrain relics to secure Cold War frontiers, such as wire barrier remains, relics of intruders, and observatories. Extinction Base Research offers opportunities for studying the everyday life of Cold War soldiers during a long service on the border. One of the problems are the light fortifications built in the 1950s, which include both concrete fortifications and timber structures.en
