dc.description.abstract-translatedThe study deals with the cult of the early medieval Benedictine abbot St. Maurus, the major disciple of the founder of Western monasticism St. Benedict of Nursia, in the territory of Bohemia from its earliest beginnings in the last third of the 10th century until the end of the Middle Ages. The text, using detailed research of period sources on the example of pilgrimage travel, relics or the celebration of the sacred liturgy in an effort to achieve the first compre‑ hensive capture of the spread and significance of St. Maurus’ reverence in the Bohemian Middle Ages.en
