dc.description.abstractDiplomová práce se zabývá tématem ekonomické návratnosti těžby kryptoměny Bitcoin v podmínkách České republiky. Motivací pro volbu tématu je rostoucí zájem o kryptoměny jako alternativní investiční nástroj a současně potřeba objektivně zhodnotit, zda může být těžba Bitcoinu reálně výhodná i mimo rozsáhlé profesionální farmy, zejména s ohledem na vysoké vstupní náklady a volatilitu trhu. K řešení problému byl zvolen analytický přístup založený na kvantitativním výpočetním modelu, který zohledňuje reálné provozní parametry těžby, aktuální cenu elektřiny a vývoj obtížnosti sítě. Výpočty byly provedeny pro různá časová období a doplněny o citlivostní analýzu dopadu proměnných, jako je cena Bitcoinu a cena elektřiny. Výstupem práce je komplexní zhodnocení návratnosti investice a identifikace podmínek, za kterých může být těžba ekonomicky rentabilní. Práce zároveň nabízí srovnání s těžbou kryptoměn Litecoin a Dogecoin pro širší kontext hodnocení. Výsledky mohou být využity jako praktické vodítko pro potenciální individuální investory a zároveň mohou sloužit jako základ pro další výzkum, např. v oblasti prediktivního modelování vývoje profitability těžby.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe thesis focuses on the economic return on Bitcoin mining under the conditions of the Czech Republic. The motivation for choosing this topic lies in the growing interest in cryptocurrencies as an alternative investment tool and the need to objectively assess whether Bitcoin mining can be realistically profitable outside of large-scale professional mining farms, especially considering high entry costs and market volatility. An analytical approach based on a quantitative computational model was chosen to address the issue. The model takes into account real operational parameters of mining, the current electricity price, and the network difficulty adjustment. Calculations were performed for different time periods and supplemented with sensitivity analyses assessing the impact of key variables such as the market price of Bitcoin and electricity costs. The main outcome of the thesis is a comprehensive evaluation of return on investment and the identification of conditions under which mining can become economically viable. Additionally, the thesis includes a comparison with the mining of Litecoin and Dogecoin to provide a broader contextual understanding. The results may serve as a practical guide for potential individual investors and as a foundation for further research, for example in the area of predictive modeling of mining profitability.en
