| dc.description.abstract | Počet seniorů v naši populaci se stále zvyšuje. To má také vliv na množství hospitalizovaných seniorů. Pokud chceme těmto pacientů poskytnout nejlepší možnou péči, měli bychom znát biopsychosociální zvláštnosti seniorského věku a přizpůsobit jim svoji péči. Sestra na oddělení by měla znát specifika nemocí ve stáří a geriatrické syndromy. neméně důležitá je správně vedená komunikace. V praktické části jsem chtěla zjistit, zda sestry znají vybrané oblasti péče u hospitalizovaných seniorů., jako je výživa a hydratace. Součástí výzkumného šetření bylo zjistit zda sestry dodržují zásady správné komunikace. Také jsem chtěla zjistit názor seniorů na péči, kterou jim v těchto vybraných oblastech poskytují sestry. | cs |

If we want these patients to provide the best possible care, we should to know traits of senior age an to tailor care. The nurse in the department should also know the spesifics of illness in the elderly and geriatric syndromes. Equally important is correctly applied communication. In the practical part, I wanted to find out whether nurses know the selected field of care for hospitalized seniors, such is nutrition and hydration. Part of the research was to determine whether nurses respect the principles of good communication.
