dc.description.abstractTato bakalářská práce je případovou studií věnující se vzestupu Brazílie jako regionální mocnosti. Cílem práce je prostřednictvím zkoumání brazilské zahraniční politiky stanovit, zda Brazílie splňuje či nesplňuje podmínky regionální mocnosti v Latinské Americe. Bakalářská práce poskytuje přehled nejdůležitějších momentů, které napomohly Brazílii získat vlivné postavení uvnitř regionu Latinské Ameriky. Práce se věnuje politickému a ekonomickému vzestupu Brazílie, postavení Brazílie v Latinské Americe, roli Brazílie v regionálních uskupeních MERCOSUR, UNASUR a CELAC a brazilské sportovní diplomacii. V závěru práce shrnuji a hodnotím výsledky svého bádání. Za pomoci informací a poznatků, které jsem získala v průběhu psaní, stanovuji, zda Brazílie splňuje či nesplňuje podmínky regionální mocnosti.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis bachelor thesis is a case study that deals with the rise of Brazil as regional power. The aim of this thesis is to analyse foreign policy of Brazil in a region of Latin America and throught obtained information determine whether Brazil meets conditions of regional power. This thesis provides an overview of the important matters which helped Brazil to gain an important position in region of Latin America. To decide whether Brazil meets the conditions of regional power, first we have to look at brazilian political and economical progress since it's democratization. From quite poor and non-democratic country Brazil has managed to gain indispensable and dominat role in her region. Next the work deals with brazilian position in Latin America and also with other rival countries like Argentina, Mexico and Venezuela which could threaten Brazil currently as well in the future. Brazil participates in many regional organizations. A membership in these organizations like MERCOSUR, UNASUR and CELAC are crucial for Brazil to show her regional power. So this is next part of my thesis. At the end the thesis also debates sport diplomacy throught which Brazil seeks to recognition by other states not only in region but also around the world. In conclusion bachelor thesis evaluates the results of research. Throught information obtained in my work, I determine which condition of regional power Brazil fulfills and which not.en
