dc.description.abstract-translatedThe Supreme Court as a court of appeal in criminal cases? The subject of this paper is to make some observations on the Supreme Court‘s decisions in criminal cases. In specific, the paper has been prepared in the context of the recent decision of the Constitutional Court, which overturned the decision of the Supreme Court rejecting the defendants‘ appeal against their conviction by the Court of First Instance. The Supreme Court denied the defendants‘ appeal despite the fact that they had been definitively acquitted by the Court of Appeal.en
