Autor v práci zkoumá genius loci města Seattle a v neposlední řadě čtenáři přiblíží jednu z nejvýznamnějších hudebních skupin stylu Grunge. Autor dále blíže specifikuje Generaci X a jevy, které působily na tuto generaci a zamýšlí se nad důvody masivního úspěchu hudebního stylu Grunge.cs
