dc.description.abstractVe své práci se pokusím přiblížit vývoj utilitarismu, kde můžeme hledat jeho počátky, na jaké směry představitelé utilitarismu navazují a tak dále. Představím hlavní myslitele tohoto směru a jejich myšlenky. Následně se budu více zajímat o osobnost Petera Singera, který je momentálně nejznámější a velice kontroverzní představitel utilitarismu. Budu se snažit vám přiblížit některé jeho myšlenky a postoje. Některé jeho názory jsou poněkud neortodoxní a mnoho lidí ho odsuzuje za jeho morální přesvědčení. Prostřednictvím Singera představím hlavní témata mé práce, kterými jsou speciesismus, problematika potratů a eutanazie.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedIn my work I will try to describe the development of utilitarianism, where we can search for it the beginnings, to which directions the representatives of utilitarianism follow and so on. I will introduce the main thinkers of this direction and their ideas. Subsequently, I will be more interested in Peter Singer's personality, who is currently the most famous and controversial representative of utilitarianism. I will try to give you some ideas and attitudes. Some of his opinions are somewhat unorthodox and many people condemn him for his moral conviction. Through Singer, I will present the main themes of my work, which are speciesism, abortion and euthanasia.en
