dc.description.abstractDiplomová práce pojednává o změnách, které v českém ústavním systému přinesla přímá volba prezidenta. Teoretická část práce je věnována postavení prezidenta v českém ústavním systému a vývoji snah o zavedení přímé volby v České republice. Hlavní část práce se věnuje změnám Ústavy, které byly zavedeny spolu s přímou volbou, analýze využívání pravomocí prezidenta v rámci jeho funkce, a dopadům jeho jednání na český ústavní systém. Tyto jsou ilustrovány na konkrétních událostech v rámci jeho působení během prvního funkčního období, a následně jsou rozebrány z hlediska ústavní teorie. Závěrem se autor zamýšlí nad úvahami o přímé volbě do budoucna.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis master thesis deals with changes that have been brought into Czech constitutional system by the establishment of the direct presidential election. The theoretical part deals with the presidential status in the Czech constitutional system and with the development of the establishment of the direct presidential elections in the Czech Republic. The main part of this thesis is concerned with the changes in the Constitution, which has been established together with the implementing of the direct elections. It also deals with the analysis of the usage of presidential powers in the office and with consequences of his actions on the Czech constitutional system. These consequences are illustrated on concrete events, which took place during his first term in the office as the president of the Czech Republic. These events are then examined from the point of view/in terms of the Constitutional theory. In conclusion, the author is thinking about the direct elections in the future.en
