dc.description.abstractCílem práce je především nalézt zásadní okolnosti, které rozhodujícím způsobem ovlivnily, kdo se stane prezidentem svobodného Československa v prosinci roku 1989. Hlavním výzkumná otázka zní: Jak a proč se z Václava Havla, pro širší veřejnost dlouho neznámého disidenta, stal nakonec velkou většinou podporovaný kandidát na úřad prezidenta a aklamací zvolený prezident? V teoretické části práce je nejprve uveden historický kontext událostí a přiblížena sociologicka perspektiva, zejména oblast jazyka, sociálních rolí a sociální konstrukce reality. V dílčích kapitolách se práce věnuje Lidovým novinám, které představují hlavní zdroj kvantitativních dat, veřejnému mínění a možným konspiračním teoriím. V empirické části je objasněn výběr dané metodologie, tj. smíšená strategie výzkumu, a poté je obecně přiblížena. Hlavní kapitolou je v této části analýza dat z obou metodologických přístupů a následná interpretace výsledků.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe main goal of my diploma thesis was to find out which circumstances caused that Vaclav Havel became the president of the independent Czechoslovakia in December 1989. The main research question is: How and why became for a long time publicly unknown disident Vaclav Havel by the majority supported candidate for the post of the president of Czechoslovakia and why was he as such eventually unanimously elected ? The first theoretical part of my thesis pictures the context of historical events the sociological perspective, mainly the language issue, social role and a social reconstruction of reality. The particular chapters deal with the characteristics of Lidove noviny, which became one of the main sources for the quantitative data, as well as the public opinion and last but not least the possible conspirational theory of coup in CSSR. The empirical part includes the statement of the main goal of my thesis, justification for the selected and used methodology i.e. mixed strategy of the research and the steps I have chosen. The main chapter is the analysis of the data of the two methodological approaches and the following interpretation of the results.en
