dc.description.abstractPředkládaná diplomová práce se řadí do oboru lékařské geografie a konkrétně se zabývá epidemií HIV/AIDS na Ukrajině v druhé dekádě 21. století. Jedná se o analýzu dostupných datových zdrojů a publikací o nákaze virem HIV/AIDS ve východní Evropě a na Ukrajině. Analýza epidemie je provedena pomocí tabulek, grafů a kartogramů. Cílem práce je také zhodnotit programy a opatření které byly provedeny ukrajinskou vládou v boji s epidemií HIV/AIDS. Teoretický úvod práce vysvětluje základní biomedicínské informace o HIV/AIDS a základní epidemiologické pojmy. Je představena lékařská geografie a její příbuzný obor geografie zdraví. Hlavním výstupem práce je ucelená analýza epidemie HIV/AIDS na Ukrajině. Prostorově je epidemie zobrazena pomocí kartogramů.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe present thesis belongs to the field of medical geography and specifically deals with the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Ukraine in the second decade of the 21st century. It is an analysis of available data sources and publications on HIV/AIDS infection in Eastern Europe and Ukraine. The analysis of the epidemic is carried out using tables, graphs and cartograms. The second objective of the work is to evaluate the programs and measures that have been implemented by the Ukrainian government in the fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The theoretical introduction of the thesis explains basic biomedical information about HIV/AIDS and basic epidemiological concepts. Medical geography and its related field of health geography are introduced. The main output of the thesis is a comprehensive analysis of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Ukraine. Spatially, the epidemic is depicted using cartograms.en
