dc.description.abstract-translatedThe article examines the relationship between the institute of the referendum and the institute of the plebiscite. Part of this article is a historical excursion not only into the terminological development of both institutes. A separate chapter is also devoted to their several definitions, and their national normative regulation. A listing of their further differences and similarities is the subject of the final chapter, along with the listing of several states and legal theorists leaning towards a particular theory.en
