| dc.description.abstract-translated | According to an archival entry from 1833, two Velenice villagers conducted excavation at the castle near their village. The majority of finds consists of metal artefacts. The excavation site was later identified as Velenice 01, located approx. 500m northwest of the Church of Trinity in Velenice. The excavation had been conducted in the upper part of sloping promontory, where the foundation of an oblong building had been evident. The question remains what the original function of the site was since the absence of decent fortification does not indicate a fortified manor. | en |
