dc.description.abstractResumé V naší práci se zabýváme postupem integrace Velké Británie do rozličných evropských institucí, a to v historickém kontextu. Pro náš záměr je nejpodstatnějsím prvkem této mezinárodní spolupráce vztah Spojeného království a Evropských společenství, později Evropské unie. V první části se zajímáme o některé pokusy o spojenectví v Evropě, které předcházely Schumanovu plánu. Část druhá se zaměřuje na proměny britského postavení v Evropě v kontextu s rozpadem koloniální říše, vznikem Rady Evropy, NATO, OEEC, EFTA a Evropských společenství. Ve třetí části se zabýváme vstupem Británie do Evropských společenství a vývojem jejího statusu uvnitř. Británie prošla běhěm dvacátého století vývojem vedoucím od hlavní světové velmoci k plnohodnotnému členu spojené Evropy. Faktem však je, že přístup britských politiků k nadnárodní povaze některých organizací byl vždy přinejmenším vlažný. Pokusili jsme se zaměřit na klíčové odpůrce i zastánce integračního procesu. Důležitou se ukázala také otázka zámořských relací Albionu. V práci jsme se také blíže podívali na možné varianty budoucího vývoje EU. Jako důležitý aspekt jednoty a spolupráce v Evropě vidíme nutnost posílení pocitu společných vazeb. Proto se v našem textu zabýváme též problematikou evropské identity.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedRésumé Our thesis is handling the topic of an integration of the UK into various European institutions and contextualizing this trope within the historical framework. A key element of the international cooperation we are aiming at is the relation of the UK towards the European community and subsequently the EU. In the first part we are interested in any attempts at alliance in Europe that preceded the Schuman Plan. The second part focuses on the transformation of the British position in Europe in the context of the disintegration colonial empires, formation of the Council of Europe, NATO, OEEC, EFTA and the European Communities. The third part deals with the UK entry into the European Community and its status within the development. Within the course of the 20th century, the Britain has gone through a major process of transformation from a leading world power to a full-fledged member of the of the united Europe. However, the fact is that the attitude of British politicians towards the supranational character of certain organizations stayed rather lukewarm. We were trying to focus on the key supporters and opponents of the integration process. The question of the overseas relations of the Albion is too importand question. In this work we take a closer look at possible options for future development of the EU. As an important aspect of unity and cooperation in Europe, we see the need to strengthen the sense of common ties. This is, why our text is also addressing problems of the European identity.en
