dc.description.abstractDiplomová práce se zabývá reprezentací motivu smrti v alžbětinském dramatu v kontextu renesanční reflexe smrti. Její první část byla věnována sociokulturnímu pozadí alžbětinské doby, jelikož do značné míry ovlivňovalo analyzovaná dramata. Další část se týkala interpretace motivů smrti, jimiž jsou motiv pomsty, zachování cti, mocenských ambic, žárlivosti, mravního ponaučení, trestu a motiv smrti plynoucí z lásky. V neposlední řadě se objevily i úvahy o smyslu života, jelikož sebevražda je další z pohnutek ke smrti analyzovaných v této práci. Poté následovala komparace a typologizace uvedených motivů smrti. Navíc byly zmíněné motivy konfrontovány s renesanční reflexí smrti, tj. Baconovými a Montaignovými esejemi. Hlavním cílem práce bylo tedy vysledování podobností a odlišností mezi analyzovanými motivy smrti, následně jejich typologizace.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis thesis deals with the representation of theme of death in Elizabethan drama in the context of Renaissance reflection of death. The first part was devoted to socio-cultural background of Elizabethan times, because to a large extent influenced analyzed dramas. Another part concerned the interpretation of themes of death, which are the motive for revenge, honor, power of ambition, jealousy, moral lesson, punishment and theme of death from love. Finally, there were reflections on the meaning of life, because suicide is another motive for death analyzed in this work. This was followed by comparison and typology of the themes of death. Moreover, the mentioned motives were confronted with Renaissance reflection of death, it?s Bacon?s and Montaigne?s essays. The main aim of this work was discover by observation the similarities and differences between the analyzed motifs of death, followed by their typology.en
