dc.description.abstract-translatedThis paper focuses on the influence of the European Union and the Council of Europe on criminal law. The author points out the fundamental adjustments of the mentioned institutions, which have significantly influenced the Czech national legislation, both in the substantive and procedural criminal law. In this respect, the author also presents the result of the implementation of the above-mentioned documents. In this context, the Budapest Convention as a leading document of the Council of Europe in the context of cybercrime, as well as its additional protocol are mentioned. Similarly, the Convention on the Protection of the Interests of the European Union and its influence on Czech substantive criminal law have not been left out. The procedural regulations were also presented in a marginal way, so that the paper would contain a more comprehensive overview of the influence of the mentioned organisations. The paper also mentions new instruments that are not yet in force, but their implementation is expected in the near future.en
