dc.description.abstract-translated(In)authority of the constitutional text through the lens of constitutional changes The author focuses in the paper on the issues of the constitution-making process in the Slovak Republic in the context of selected amendments to the Constitution of the Slovak Republic. The author analyses the causes and pos sible risks of the current legal regulation of the possibilities of interventions into the constitutional matter and offers a subjective view on the frequency of amendments to the Constitution of the Slovak Republic. The author assesses the degree of flexibility of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic, while the issue of the dynamic constitutional development of the Slovak Republic is ap proached through significant modifications of the constitutional text and their impact on the entire constitutional system. The question of the specificity of the Slovak constitution-making process is the basis for the author‘s reflections on the appropriateness of the current legal regulation and on the permissible possibilities of increasing the authority of the fundamental law of the state. The author seeks an answer to the question of how to increase the authority of the Slovak Constitution by strengthening its rigidity, finding inspiration also beyond the borders of the countryen
