dc.description.abstractPředkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou Senegambijské konfederace z hlediska federalismu. Cílem práce bylo představit principy fungování Senegambijské konfederace a důvody jejího rozpadu. Senegambijská konfederace byla politickým útvarem existujícím mezi léty 1982 až 1989. V teoretické části práce jsme představili odborné přístupy k vymezení fenoménů federalismu a konfederace. V praktické části jsme výše zmíněné přístupy aplikovali na konkrétní případ Senegambijské konfederace. Představili jsme historické okolnosti formování této konfederace a motivace jejího vzniku. Nakonec jsme zhodnotili důvody rozpadu Senegambijské konfederace. Na rozpadu konfederace se větší či menší měrou podílelo mnoho sporných bodů mezi Senegalem a Gambií.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe following bachelor´s thesis focuses on the topic of the Senegambia Confederation in terms of federalism. The main goal of the thesis is to analyze the structure and functions of the confederation and evaluate the reasons for its collapse. The Senegambia Confederation was a structure which existed between the years 1982 and 1989. In the theoretical part of the thesis, we introduced some academic approaches to the study of federalism and confederation in general. In the practical part, we applied the approaches to the case of the Senegambia Confederation. We introduced the historical circumstances of the formation of the confederation and then described the motivation both countries had to form it. Finally, we evaluated the reasons for the collapse of the confederation. There were several disputes between the both countries which led to the break-up of the confederation.en
