dc.description.abstractThe plans for the "green" transformation of the existing energy sector now also mention the new technical conditions of the transmission pipeline routes, which are related to the change of the natural gas transported so far. The paper concerns the prediction of the noise emitted by a DN300 pipeline in the case of hydrogen transport. Assuming the same amount of energy supplied by the gases, hydrogen transport at speeds of up to 40 m/s is considered. The presented analysis is based on the results of measurements made by Net4Gas staff at RU10 Mutěnice under extreme natural gas flow conditions, on CFD calculations of aerodynamic noise sources and on statistical approaches to evaluate the coincidence, transmission and radiation of acoustic energy by/into the three acoustic systems. These are the flowing gas, the pipe walls, and the air standing outside the pipe.en
