dc.description.abstractBakalářská práce se zabývá pozicí a rolí Liberálních demokratů ve stranickém systému Spojeného království Velké Británie a Severního Irska. Cílem této práce je zjistit, jaká je relevance a pozice Liberálních demokratů jakožto třetí strany ve dvoustranickém systému Velké Británie a zda má možnost tento systém nějak narušit. V souvislosti s tím se práce opírá o teoretické koncepty, které vysvětlují fungování bipartijního systému a popisující vliv volebního systému na systém stranický. Dále pro analýzu postavení strany ve stranickém systému bude v práci představena také její historie.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis dissertation deals with the position and the role of the Liberal Democrats in the party system of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The goal of this dissertation is to determine the relevance and the position of Liberal Democrats as the third party in the two-party system of Great Britain and whether it can somehow disrupt the system. In this context, the dissertation is based on the theoretical concepts that explain the functioning of the bipartism and describing the influence of the electoral system to the party system. Furthermore, for the analysis of the position of Liberal democrats in the party system is introduced history of party.en
