Popisuje Huntingtonova raná léta a studium, Huntingtonovo působení na amerických prestižních univerzitách a jeho činnost v Bílém domě jako poradce prezidenta Lyndona Johnsona a prezidenta Jimmy Cartera. Dále popisuje Huntingtonův profesionální vývoj s přihlédnutím k americkým i světovým událostem, jenž ho ovlivnily v jeho činnosti politického vědce a udaly směr jeho odbornému zájmu.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedA bachelor work deals with the life, professional activities and work of American political scientist Samuel Phillips Huntington. The work describes the early years and the study in Huntington's life, Huntington´s influence on the U.S. prestigious universities and his activities in the White House as an advisor to President Lyndon Johnson and President Jimmy Carter. The work also describes Huntington´s professional development with regard to American and world events that influenced him in his activities as a political scientist and gave the direction of his professional interest.en
