dc.description.abstractVálka začala v roce 66 n. l., kdy se Římanům podařilo dobýt Galileu. Na jaře v roce 68 n. l. z důvodů občanské války mezi sikarii a zélóty v Jeruzalémě, kteří usilovali o samovládu nad Jeruzalémem, museli Římané zasáhnout. Ti zprvu na Jeruzalém zaútočit nechtěli, ale byli k tomu ze strany židovského obyvatelstva nuceni. Během této války trpělo místní obyvatelstvo ve městě hladomorem a krveprolitím. K dobytí Jeruzaléma a vypálení druhého chrámu částečně Římany a částečně Židy došlo v srpnu v roce 70 n. l. Válka skončila dobytím pevností Herodyo, Machairús a Masada. Během této války zemřelo přes jeden milion lidí a je považována společně s povstáním Bar Kochby za největší neštěstí v historii Židů před holocaustem.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe war began in 66 AD when the Romans managed to conquer the Galilee. In the spring of the year 68 AD because of civil war between Sikari and Zealots in Jerusalem, who sought to autocracy over Jerusalem, the Romans had to intervene. They initially did not want to attack Jerusalem, but they were forced to do by the Jewish population. During this war, the local population suffered from famine and bloodshed. The conquest of Jerusalem and burning of the Second Temple partially by the Romans and partially by the Jews partly occurred in August in 70 AD. The war ended with the conquest of strength Herodyo, Machairús and Masada.During this war over one million people were killed and it is considered along with the Bar Kochba rebellion as the greatest disaster in the history of the Jews before the Holocaust.en
