dc.description.abstractTato práce se zabývá literárními texty pojednávající o změnách v kulturně významných městských prostředích korporátními silami a globalizací. Tento proces vede ke vzniku nemíst, neboli prostorů bez nějakého kulturního nebo historického významu. Výsledkem jsou místa sloužící jednomu účelu. Americký autor Joseph Mitchell a britský autor Iain Sinclair pojednávali o probíhajících změnách a jejich práce jsou použity pro analýzu za pomoci teorie míst a nemíst, vysokého a nízkého kontextu a dalších relevantních geografických teorií. Výsledkem je komplexní obraz s přidanou kategorizací změn a je zahrnuta i kritika od autorů vytvářející nové teorie pro znovuzískání prostorů a vytváření kulturních hodnot.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis thesis examines literary texts that deal with the transformation of culturally significant urban environments by corporate influences and globalization. This process leads to the creation of non-places, spaces without any significant cultural presence and history that serve a utilitarian purpose. The works of the U.S. writer Joseph Mitchell and the British writer Iain Sinclair are analyzed and used to illustrate the changes happening while incorporating the place and non-place theory, low and high context concept, and other relevant geographical ideas and theories to form a complex picture of the changes happening and better illustrate and categorize the changes. The thesis also explores authors who bring in academic critique and suggest new ways and processes for reclaiming the corporate non-places to bring back cultural context.en
