| dc.description.abstract-translated | This article is concerned with two, now administratively non-existent, villages in the Kysuce region of Slovakia. The reason for their demise was the construction of Nova Bystrica reservoir, which presently serves as the source of drinking water for the Kysuce region. It focuses on the main characteristics of both villages – Harvelka and Riečnica, from the time the building permit was issued to the present. Using oral history methodology, this article offers a glimpse into the life and times of these villages, not only from written sources of the period, but also from the memories of the people who lived in them. | en |
| dc.description.abstract-translated | Príspevok sa zaoberá dvoma, dnes už administratívne zaniknutými, obcami z oblasti (slovenských) Kysúc, ktorých dôvodom zániku bola výstavba Vodárenskej nádrže Nová Bystrica, ktorá v súčasnosti slúži ako zdroj pitnej vody pre región. Zameriava sa hlavne na opis najdôležitejších charakteristík obcí – Harvelky a Riečnice, a na obdobie od vydania oficiálneho rozhodnutia o výstavbe nádrže až po súčasnosť. Vďaka využitiu metódy orálnej histórie tak zachytáva reálie a udalosti nielen tak, ako to činia dobové pramene, ale aj tak, ako ich vnímali samotní obyvatelia obcí. | sk |
