dc.description.abstractTato bakalářská práce se zabývá politicko-právním postavením ostrova Man, který má status britského korunního závislého území s rozsáhlou mírou autonomie. Cílem práce je identifikovat zásadní parametry autonomie ostrova Man a zjistit, zda na ostrově či ve Spojeném království probíhají diskuse či spory týkající se jeho statusu. Kromě analýzy jeho specifického postavení se práce také zaměřuje na jedinečnou kulturu a identitu, kterou si ostrov Man postupně po staletí vybudoval. V neposlední řadě se práce věnuje mezinárodnímu působení ostrova a způsobům, jakými se profiluje v mezinárodním prostředí.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis bachelor's thesis explores the political and legal status of the Isle of Man, which holds the position of a British Crown Dependency with a high degree of autonomy. The aim of the thesis is to identify the key parameters of the Isle of Man's autonomy and to examine whether there are any ongoing discussions or disputes regarding its status either on the island or in the United Kingdom. In addition to analysing its specific constitutional position, the thesis also focuses on the unique culture and identity that the Isle of Man has gradually developed over the centuries. Finally, it examines the island's international engagement and the ways in which it seeks to profile itself in the international arena.en
