| dc.description.abstract | Léčba infekčních onemocnění známými antibiotiky se stává čím dál více problematickou a globální kvůli rostoucí antibakteriální rezistenci a nedostatku účinných antibiotik. Cílem práce bylo prokázat antibakteriální působení in vitro vybraných rostlinných extraktů proti některým patogenním zástupcům Gram-pozitivních a Gram-negativních bakterií. Dále byl zkoumán vztah mezi účinkem tinktur a obsahem polyfenolů a flavonoidů v působení na bakterie a pro srovnání s účinky běžně užívaných antibiotik. Citlivost bakterií se testovala difuzní metodou na agaru a mikrodiluční metodou v mikrotitrační destičce s použitím bujonu. V rostlinných tinkturách byly stanoveny celkové koncentrace polyfenolů a flavonoidů. Největší inhibiční účinek byl zaznamenán u extraktů z květů hřebíčkovce vonného, listů medvědice lékařské a natě tymiánu obecného. Naopak žádný nebo jen minimální efekt byl pozorován u tinktur ze semen grapefruitu, plodů lichořeřišnice větší, oddenku zázvorovníku lékařského a cibule česneku setého. | dc.description.abstract-translated | The treatment of infectious diseases with known antibiotic has become more problematic and global because of increasing antibacterial resistance and lack of proper antibiotics. The aim of the work was to demonstrate the in vitro antibacterial effects of selected plant extracts against some pathogenic specimens of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Furthermore, possible relationships between the effects of the plant tinctures and the their content of polyphenols and flavonoids were searched, with regard to correlations between their effects and the effects of common antibiotics. The sensitivity of the bacteria was tested using a diffuse method on agar and a microdilution method in a microtiter plate with broth. Total concentrations of polyphenols and flavonoids in herbal tinctures were analyzed. The highest effect was observed in extracts of clove flower buds, bearberry leaves and herb of thyme. On the contrary, zero or minimal effect was observed in using tinctures of grapefruit seeds, garden nasturtium seeds, ginger rhizome and the bulb of garlic. The results show a correlation between antibacterial effects and concentrations of polyphenols and flavonoids in appropriate tinctures. | en |
