Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the shift of activities toward online platforms, which changed habits, behaviours, and attitudes worldwide. This research paper offers an analysis of aesthetic and perceptual qualities in live music performance mediated through digital technologies. It focuses on two primary areas: the distinctiveness of live-streamed performances, analyzing their aesthetic qualities and the beauty of music performed through networked systems, and audience perceptions, which explore the dynamic between performers and their viewers through digital platforms. The findings of this study will be beneficial for both performers and audiences participating in online performances, as well as for scholars studying the aesthetics of digital live streaming in artistic contexts.
