dc.description.abstract-translatedThe main aim of my thesis is to describe the environment of investment companies and investment funds in Czech Republic. First part of the thesis is dedicated to historical situation in the world and in Europe. Both had a major role in developing of Czech capital market after the velvet revolution in 1989. Current European regulation has a major role in a market and also on the current Czech Act on investment companies and investment funds. The growth of the market has become a very progressive after the world economic crisis in 2008 and after the new Act. The major part of my thesis is focusing on describing of the law environment as such and also on issues, risks and chances of current legislation in terms of further development of the market and potential risks of tightening of the regulation.en
