| dc.description.abstract-translated | The dissertation thesis will focus on a phenomenon of insulator and buffer states in international relations. It will review previous researches of insulator and buffer states and aims to constitute a new broad definition what the term insulator and buffer states mean. According to the definition insulator and buffer states will be revealed and their foreign policy tools which have been used since the First World War will be analyzed. On the basis of such research key questions of the dissertation thesis which stand whether there is a specific foreign policy behaviour of insulator and buffer states and whether this behaviour is a subject of changes of the whole international system will be answered. The thesis would like to bring the topic of insulator and buffer states which have been on periphery of Czech political science’s interest to the topical academic environment and claims to be beneficial for international relations and security studies scholars as well as for students of geopolitics and foreign policy analyzers. | en |
