dc.description.abstractDiplomová práce se bude zabývat okolnostmi útoku na americkou základu Pearl Harbor 7. prosince 1941. Studentka se bude věnovat zkoumanému tématu z hlediska jeho následků a jeho proměnám v historické paměti. Zaměří se proto na následné vyšetřování a konspirační teorie, které v souvislosti s japonským útokem vznikly. Cílem práce je analýza zodpovědnosti za selhání americké obrany, otázka, zda a v jaké podobě byly americké politické špičky informovány o potenciální japonské agresi a zda se některé z konspiračních teorií s útokem spojených zakládá na reálných a ověřitelných faktech. Práce bude vycházet ze zahraniční odborné literatury a z archivních zdrojů dostupných online.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis thesis will examine the circumstances surrounding the attack on the American base at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. The student will examine the topic under study in terms of its aftermath and its transformations in historical memory. Therefore, she will focus on the subsequent investigations and conspiracy theories that arose in relation to the Japanese attack. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the responsibility for the failure of American defense, the question of whether and in what form American political leaders were informed of potential Japanese aggression, and whether any of the conspiracy theories associated with the attack are based on real and verifiable facts. The thesis will draw on foreign literature and archival sources available online.en
