dc.description.abstractBakalářská práce Zámořská území Spojených států amerických pojednává o 5 obydlených zámořských teritoriích pod jurisdikcí Spojených států. Jedná se konkrétně o Portoriko, Guam, Severní Mariany, Americké Panenské ostrovy a Americkou Samou. V úvodu práce je vysvětleno právní postavení teritorií rozdíl mezi teritoriem a státem Spojených států. Následně je v práci popsán historický vývoj jednotlivých teritorií pod vlivem Spojených států a jejich současné postavení. Na teritoria uplatňují části americké Ústavy, ale každý z nich má vůči Spojeným státům odlišný vztah. V teritoriích se nejvíce diskutuje o jejich budoucím statusu, postavení obyvatel a způsobu uplatňování jednotlivých zákonů. V práci je využita metoda komparativní analýzy ke zkoumání odlišných a shodných znaků mezi teritorii. Hlavními parametry pro komparaci jsou ekonomika, vláda, demografie a vztah ke Spojeným státům americkým. V závěru práce jsou získané poznatky interpretovány a porovnávány.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe bachelor thesis Overseas Territories of the United States deals with 5 inhabited overseas territories under the jurisdiction of the United States. These territories are Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Virgin Islands of the United States and American Samoa. The beginning explains the legal status of territories, the difference between the territory and the state of the United States. In the following part, the work describes the historical background of individual territories under the influence of the United States and their current status. Although parts of the US Constitution are applied in these territories, each of them has a different relationship to the United States. The most discussed topic in the territories is their future status, the status of the population and the way of applying individual laws. The work uses the method of comparative analysis to examine the different and similar features between territories. The main parameters for comparison are the economy, government, demography and the relationship with the United States. At the end of the work, the acquired information about territories is introduced and compared.en
