| dc.description.abstract | Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu karafiátové revoluce, která proběhla 25. dubna 1974, jejímž cílem bylo ukončení téměř padesátiletého autoritářského režimu Estado Novo. Práce se věnuje historickému kontextu této události a také politickému a ekonomickému stavu země v té době. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována porovnání karafiátové revoluce s československou sametovou revolucí z roku 1989, neboť obě revoluce jsou významným projevem třetí vlny demokratizačních hnutí ve světě. Přestože proběhly v odlišných geopolitických i kulturních podmínkách, spojuje je nenásilný charakter a důraz na hodnoty svobody, spravedlnosti a demokracie. Dále práce čerpá z autentických svědectví pamětníků a zkušeností získaných během studijního pobytu v Lisabonu, čímž přináší osobní rozměr k hlubšímu pochopení této historické události. Cílem práce je nejen přiblížit význam karafiátové revoluce, ale také podpořit povědomí o důležitosti občanské angažovanosti a historické paměti. | cs |
| dc.description.abstract-translated | This bachelor's thesis focuses on the analysis of the Carnation revolution, which took place on 25th April in 1974, with the aim of ending the nearly fifty-year authoritarian regime of Estado Novo. The thesis explores the historical context of this event as well as the political and economic situation of the country at that time. Special attention is given to the comparison between the Carnation revolution and the Czechoslovak Velvet revolution of 1989, as both are significant manifestations of the third wave of global democratization movements. Although they occurred in different geopolitical and cultural contexts, they are united by their non-violent nature and their emphasis on the values of freedom, justice, and democracy. Furthermore, the thesis draws on authentic testimonies from eyewitnesses and on experience gained during a study stay in Lisbon, thereby offering a personal dimension to the deeper understanding of this historical event. The subject of the thesis is not only to highlight the importance of the Carnation revolution, but also to promote awareness of the significance of civic engagement and historical memory. | en |
