dc.description.abstractTato práce se zabývá osobou P. F. Lazarsfelda a jeho přínosem pro komunikační výzkum. Do Lazarsfeldova příchodu těžila sociální věda především z narativních teoretických koncepcí a nebylo běžné získané poznatky ověřovat pomocí empirických metod. Jednou z klíčových postav, ne-li na tomto poli sociální vědy postavou nejdůležitější, byl právě Lazarsfeld a jeho neutuchající touha neustále do získaných poznatků reflektovat lidskou zkušenost. Lazarsfeld přesvědčen o kolektivním pojetí vědy zakládal výzkumná centra a organizoval výzkumné týmy pro profesionální empirický výzkum. Tato organizace výzkumných týmů a především institucionalizace výzkumných center bývá mnoha odborníky pokládána za jeho přínos pro vědu snad nejdůležitější. I když se Lazarsfeld nezabýval pouze oblastí komunikačního výzkumu, jedná se patrně o oblast jemu nejbližší. V této práci jsou popsány jeho nejvýznamnější práce a studie (programme analyser device, focused interview, two-step flow of communiacation ? opinion leaders, and panel study) kterými obohatil výzkum masové komunikace. Dále je přiblížen význam těchto prací pro současný komunikační výzkum. Krátce je nastíněna i kritika Lazarsfeldových prací a celkového stylu jeho práce, které Lazarsfeld musel čelit ještě v průběhu svého života.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis work deals with the person of P. F. Lazarsfeld and his contribution to communication research. Before Lazarsfeld, social science utilized narrative theoretical concepts and it was not customary to verify obtained results by means of empirical methods. One of the key figures, maybe the most important in this field of social science, Lazarsfeld had an unrelenting desire to reflect human experience in the results he obtained. Lazarsfeld, who was convinced there was a collective concept of science, established research centers and organized research teams for professional empirical research. Many scholars consider this organization of research teams and particularly the institutionalization of research centers probably his most significant contribution to science. Though Lazarsfeld was not engaged solely in communication research, this field was apparently the closest to him. This paper describes his most important works and studies (programme analyser device, focused interview, two-step flow of communication ? opinion leaders, and panel study), with which he enriched the communication research. The paper also describes the significance of his works for the current communication research. The paper also briefly outlines the criticism of Lazarsfeld´s works and of the overall style of his work that he had to face in the course of his life.en
