dc.description.abstractPráce je věnována soupeření mezi Asyrskou říší a královstvím Urartu v průběhu 8. století př. n. l. s důrazem na vládu Tiglatpilesara III. a Sargona II.; pokrývá okolnosti a vývoj mezinárodní politické situace v severní Mezopotámii a východní Anatolii, který vedl k vojenským střetům těchto mocností v letech 743 př. n. l., 735 př. n. l. a 714 př. n. l., zabývá se rovněž urartejským obranným systémem pevností, významem špionáže a dopadem, jaký tento konflikt měl na sousední státy.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis thesis deals with the rivalry between the Assyrian Empire and the Kingdom of Urartu during the 8th century BC with a special focus on eras of Tiglath-Pileser III and Sargon II. It covers the circumstances and development of the international political situation in northern Mesopotamia and eastern Anatolia, which led to military clashes between these powers in 743 BC, 735 BC and 714 BC. It also explores the Urartian fortification system, the military intelligence, and the impact of this rivalry on neighbouring states.en
