dc.description.abstractVe své diplomové práci jsem se zabývala stupněm slabosti afrického státu Libérie. Libérie je země, která se dlouhodobě zotavuje z občanských válek, které zničily její infrastrukturu a zdecimovaly celou populaci. Když se Libérie ocitla v cestě k hospodářskému růstu, došlo k epidemii viru Ebola a hospodářský růst se opět zastavil. Zaměřila jsem se na ukazatele FSI a ukazatele slabosti státu z teorie Roberta Rotberga. Tyto indikátory jsem rozdělila do sociální, ekonomické a politické sféry. Dalším nástrojem pro výzkum slabosti státu Libérie jsem použila teorii Paula Colliera a jeho čtyři pasti chudoby z knihy The Bottom Billion. První z těchto čtyř pastí je past konfliktu. Další pastí chudoby jsou přírodní zdroje, třetí pastí je špatná vláda v malé zemi a poslední pastí je uvěznění ve vnitrozemí se špatnými sousedy. Cílem této diplomové práce bylo určení stupně slabosti státu a příčiny, které Libérii vedly ke stavu, v němž se nyní nachází.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedIn my master thesis I dealt with the grade of weakness of the African state of Liberia. Liberia is a country which has been long timr recovering from civil wars that have destroyed its infrastructure and have indulged the whole population. When Liberia fond the way to economic growth, epidemic of the Ebola virus happend and the economic growth stopped again. I focused on the Fragile State Index indicators and indicators from the Robert Rotberg theory. I have divided these indicators into social, economic and political sphere. Another instrument for research of the weakness of the state of Liberia I used the theory of Paul Collier and his four traps of poverty from his book The Bottom Billion. The first of theese four traps is conflict. Another poverty trap is natural resources, the third trap is bad governance in a small country and the last trap is geographical the problem of being landlocked with bad neighbours. The goal of this master thesis was determined the grade of state weakness and the causes that led Liberia to the condition in which is the state for now.en
