dc.description.abstractBakalářská práce analyzuje důsledky pirátství během anglo-španělského konfliktu na přelomu 16. a 17. století. Práce v sobě skýtá prostor pro analýzu využívání pirátů jako vojenské síly určené k poškození nepřítele, tuto strategii zvolila především anglická strana. Pod anglickou vlajkou se tehdy plavil i jeden z nejznámějších anglických korzárů, Sir Francis Drake. Pirátství i korzárství v této době podporovala královna Alžběta I. Vítězství Anglie v tomto konfliktu nakonec mělo příznivý vliv pro roli Anglie v námořním obchodě i dominanci na mořích.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe bachelor thesis analyses the consequences of piracy during the Anglo-Spanish conflict at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. The thesis sets out to analyse the use of pirates as a military force designed to damage the enemy, a strategy chosen primarily by the English side. One of England's most famous privateers, Sir Francis Drake, sailed under the English flag at the time. Both piracy and privateering were supported at this time by Queen Elizabeth I. England's victory in this conflict ultimately had a positive effect on England's role in maritime trade and dominance of the seas.en
