In this contribution, the results of the numerical analysis of the wall heat transfer coefficientfor the problem of steam flow with velocities corresponding to the turbulent flow regime ina cylindrical annulus are presented. The conclusions of the numerical analysis are comparedwith the estimation formula from the literature, which is currently used for the prediction of thewall heat transfer coefficient on a component geometrically similar to the cylindrical annulus atDoosan Skoda Power s.r.o. This shows to what extent the estimation formula can replaceCFD numerical simulations.en
