Například i papež před rokem spínal ruce nad Ježíškem zavinutém v kefíje. Nyní již existuje řada studií, které mapují tento trend. Křesťanská ikonografie je masivně zneužívána k politické agitaci. Teologie osvobození našla nové téma.
