dc.description.abstractPráce podává přehlednou zprávu o studiu a léčebném používání krve od počátku lidských dějin až do současnosti. V úvodu je zařazen krátký zdravotnický exkurz a v přílohách slovníček odborných pojmů. První kapitoly hlavní části práce se věnují veškerému používání krve od pravěku až do konce středověku. V podobném obecnějším duchu se nese i výklad ve třetí kapitole, která začíná renesancí a končí na přelomu 18. a 19. století, kdy se již rodí jak samostatná hematologie, tak transfuziologie. Složitému vývoji obou věd je věnována vlastní kapitola. Stejná míra pozornosti je dána českým dějinám hematologie a krevních převodů. Poslední kapitola pak pojednává o specifikách transfuzí krve v Plzeňském kraji.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe haematology is the branch of medicine which deals with the study of blood, the blood-forming organs and blood diseases. Blood transfusion is the transfer of blood or blood components from one person into the bloodstream of another person. The goal of my thesis is to describe the history of using and studying blood in every historical period. The main part of my work is divided into six chapters. In first two chapters I focus on every partial meaning of blood in prehistory, ancient times, middle age and early modern history. The history of haematology as separate branch of medicine starts during 19th century. I describe the development of laboratory work, discoveries of new blood diseases and also affinity of haematology to imunology and haemato-oncology in one chapter. In the following part, there is explained the story of discovering blood groups or anticoagulant solutions and the progress of blood transfusions in a war. Next chapter discusses the czech history of studying and using blood and the last part of my writing deals with regional specifics in blood transfusion service.en
