dc.description.abstract-translatedThis thesis is aiming its attention to Sedlčany medieval region. Key data which were analyzed here are based mainly on written sources and archaeological excavations. First part of this paper is interested in medieval settlement of monitored region and makes a description of important medieval and early Modern Age agglomeration areas of Sedlčany, Sedlec, Prčice, Vysoký Chlumec and failed location of the Pačíska Castle. In the second part of the paper all this work resulted to creation of the general theoretical model of Sedlčany medieval region. Due to a lack of partial data the model is still missing some important information. Therefore, new archaeological researches are crucial to better understanding of this complicated region.en
