dc.description.abstractBakalářská práce se zabývá srovnáním dvou filmových adaptací hry Romeo a Julie od Williama Shakespeara. Pro tento účel byly vybrány filmy Romeo and Juliet od Franca Zeffirelliho (1968) a William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet od Baza Luhrmanna (1996). Teoretická část práce je věnovaná teorii a historii filmových adaptací. Následně se zabývá životem a dílem Williama Shakespeara, a obsahem hry Romeo a Julie. Praktická část rozebírá podobnosti a odlišnosti uvedených filmových adaptací s originálním zněním hry.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare two movie adaptations of the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. For this purpose, two movies were chosen, Romeo and Juliet by Franco Zeffirelli (1968) and William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet by Baz Luhrmann (1996). The theoretical part of the thesis concentrates on the theory and the history of movie adaptations. Subsequently, life and work of William Shakespeare, and the summary of the play Romeo and Juliet is described here. The aim of the practical part is to describe the similarities and the differences between selected movie adaptations and the original play.en
