dc.description.abstractSnaha o překonání antropocentrismu v díle Petera Singera a Toma Regana a jejich snaha o ospravedlnění morálních práv zvířat. Peter Singer zakládá svůj argument na rovném zvažování zájmů osob, které jsou schopny zažívat bolest a slast. Tom Regan vnímá zvířata jako subjekty života, které mají vnitřní hodnotu nezávislou na vnějších faktorech a tím má právo na zacházení s respektem. Oba autoři se snaží vyhnout se antropocentrickému vnímání zvířat, ale oba využívají koncept rozdělení zvířecí říse na dvě skupiny z nichž jedna si morální ohledy zaslouží a druhá ne. Akorát tam, kde má antropocentrismus pouze člověka, přidávají i vyšší savce. Toto rozdělení ja ale uměle vytvořené člověkem a tudíž antropocentrické.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis thesis is about Peter Singer and Tom Regan and their attempt to overcome predominant anthropocentric view on the animals and their moral rights. Singer's argument is based on his demand of equal consideration of interests of sentience beings, who can experience pain or pleasure. Tom Regan perceives animal as Subject-of-a-Life who have inherent value and therefore have a right to be treated with respect. Both authors try to avoid speciesism and to justify moral consideration for the animals, but they both divide animals to those, who deserve moral rights and the ones who don't. Such division is made by these philosophers from human point of view and therefore is anthropocentric. We can find examples where they favour man over animal, when there's no racional reason to do so. Therefore they both failed overcoming anthropocentrism.en
