dc.description.abstractTato diplomová práce se zabývá rozšířením BRICS, k němuž došlo v roce 2024, kdy se BRICS rozšířilo o Egypt, Etiopii, Írán a Spojené arabské emiráty. Teoretické východisko této práce je založeno na neorealistické perspektivě, přičemž ústředním konceptem je zde mocenské vyvažování. Diplomová práce tak zkoumá geopolitické důsledky rozšíření BRICS za rok 2024 a zabývá se analýzou zahraniční politiky nových členských států s cílem identifikovat jejich motivace a strategické cíle vstupu do BRICS. Na základě této analýzy tato práce propojuje zájmy jednotlivých států s cíli BRICS jako celku a dochází k závěru, že BRICS využívá nástrojů tzv. soft balancing k prosazování globálního mocenského vyvažování.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis thesis examines the expansion of BRICS that occurred in 2024, when BRICS expanded to include Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates. The theoretical framework of this thesis is based on a neorealist perspective, with power balancing as a central concept. Thus, the thesis examines the geopolitical implications of BRICS enlargement beyond 2024 and engages in a foreign policy analysis of the new member states in order to identify their motivations and strategic objectives for joining BRICS. Based on this analysis, this thesis links the interests of individual states to the goals of BRICS as a whole and concludes that BRICS uses the tools of soft balancing to promote global power.en
